Recruitment Meeting

Second Chances wants to thank all of those who attended our Recruitment Meeting last night! We consider it a success and hope great things will come from our new volunteers. Already, new ideas have been generated and the board feels a sense of relief that we have more helping hands.

If you missed the meeting and would still like to sign on as a volunteer, contact us through this site or facebook and we’ll get back to you with information. Specifically, we could still use someone with a background in marketing and advertising, but any other skills are much appreciated and will be put to good use.

Please keep in mind that all our efforts at this time are aimed at Aimee Driscoll’s continued health, but in the future, we plan on continuing to help as many Cystic Fibrosis patients as we can.

Sun Journal

Also, thanks to a generous staff writer from the Sun Journal, another story has been printed about Aimee and Second Chances. Douglas McIntire took the time to attend our meeting last night to take notes and you can read what he created here. We truly appreciate help like this and are grateful that there are people like Douglas out there in the Twin Cities!

  • Second Chances wants to thank all of you who brought your dirty cars, trucks, and vans to our car wash on Sunday! We appreciate all your efforts and hope to see you all again soon. Also, thanks to Dana from Pressure Pro who offered his equipment and time to our cause, as well as, K&R Auto for the use of their lot and all volunteers. We hope everyone was satisfied with their wash and will come again next time.
  • In May, some of you may remember running up and down Lost Valley, under barbed wire, through deep mud and icy water, and over leftover snow. Among other obstacles that we thoroughly enjoyed creating. Check out the pictures that are long overdue in our gallery. There are two separate slideshows due to professional pictures taken by Shauna Lee Photography and those taken by volunteers. Check them out and comment on your favorites. And remember to keep checking back for updates on next year’s race that is already in the works!
  • Aaah, the Bachelor Auction…who could forget all those good-looking men offering themselves up for fantastic dates! This is another one of our annual events, so if any of you are anxiously awaiting your turn at being a bachelor or bidding on one, let us know! If you want to know how fun it is, whether you are there to bid on men, auction items, or just have a good time…check out our slideshow.
  • We had a great turnout at the Gold Room in March, and best of all, Aimee was able to attend. Check out the picture of her with all four comedians! They were all funny in their own unique ways. Great night overall.

Thanks again for all your support! Some events to look forward to:
